HIV/AIDS Network's Feedback

Blue text are DaveyBoy's comments. Newest at top. Send  feedback here. To Bottom

Dear Davey: The chat room has brought me so much joy in my life. Thank you for your hard work. All your e mails are safe with me. I believe in confidenciality and will protect all my chat rooms friends

Well I am glad, the chat rooms bring me much joy too, even though I am usually busy programming...

There's this thing about blogging...

If someone finds you (me) I try to find out as much as I can about them. Take DaveyBoy, for example, who contacted me through this blog earlier today.

He has created a vast network of web sites unlike anything I have ever seen. It will be a challenge, but i'd like to pick a few more of them to link to. At the moment he cannot even be contacted directly. Never one to let my curiosity go unfed, I found his story here. It is mind-blowing.

Dave, I salute you!

Thanks for the blurb and links to my sites Kenn, I have returned the favor. My blog is on http://HIV-AIDS.blog-city.com :)

Seriously, davey is da bomd, his sites r awesome and he does so much for us ,and he pays all.thats not cool, when i get my retroactive check anyday now for ssi and ssdi davey im sending u a donation, love, candy

candy

Candy, save your money, I am making some money now from sponsor ads. Not saying I will feel bad taking money from rich people though, LOL :)

I am no expert but I was pleased to be able support a young girl called
Jessica on here tonight. My partner is positive and i know some of the
streses it can cause, like getting tested, supporting your partner etc. I
hope I didn't say anything out of order or factually incorrect! Anyway I'm
off to bed it's late here in England! Zzzzz
Dave H.
Thank you for running this site, we have nothing like this at home and
it's a massive help.

You are welcomed for the site, they have helped me so much too, not often I let my personal life be exposed unless I need advice or support.

This site is THE BEST for people who like myself have HIV. It has a great family feel and there is more love and support for our fellow POZ brothers and sisters than you will find anywhere else.

Aaron_NYC

Thanks Aaron, thanks for the compliment! Welcome to the family.

Here are some comments from my www.hiv-aids.blog-city.com:
Thank you so much! You saved my life!
Pete D: your HIV chat live meeting service saved my life! I was so bummed out that I had no one I could talk about my HIV with, but now I found you! THANKS ;)
thanks davey, you have helped me make so many hiv positive friends in your chat room
vanessinha: I wish you the best bye
jeremy: Please check out my blog..see comments next door. and support the function in toronto. thnx jer
Paul: Congrats Davey & Tam on marriage and baby :)
love it: super duper!
thanks: a positive blog!
Chat member: We love you Daveyboy!
John K.: Amazing blogging!
Doug G: When are you going to write a book about your life Davey? Amazing story, you got HIV from major surgery as a kid, homelessness, ex street kid, should be a great movie some day too!
Phil: added you to chinamedical.blogcity.com

Thanks for the inspiration people! I may not be rich money wise, but I am rich in the amount of lives I touch and having you all as online friends is a big help for me too! It is great to be able to log in to a chat room 24/7 to share problems and get advice from others. Many people have experienced the same thing before and offer good/sane advice. It makes me feel much better knowing we have a decent chat/web network that is online practically 24 hours a day to help others like us (or even us).

Hi, This is Sue E*******, a reporter with the New York Post...

Hi Dave,
I am doing a story on HIV partner notification, but it may not run until next week. If so, I would like to do contact you next week. Can I reach you at the same number?
Thanks for these attachments and links!

I wonder if I will get to see this release in the news paper. Please anyone send me a copy who saw it ;)

Hey Davvey Boy,
I wanna say thanks for your har work, and I am so happy that your still up
and running.

Was a rough go for awhile, homelessness and other financial troubles over a year ago. Thanks for sticking by and rechecking to see when I was back, sorry for any time I was down 2-3 years ago.

Seenu says:

Hello Dave and to all the People out here, I'm so much impressed by your
enthusiam. I'm from India and I have lived in US for 3 years. I love
traveling and meeting people. I think you all have so much to teach us
all. It's sad that even in 21st century people don't just understand and
sometimes forget to act like humans. But I think all of you are special as
you have the ability to think beyond a typical human. God bless you all
and Dave you have done a wonderful job. Dave please let me know how I
could donate. Cheers!

Thanks alot, just keep visiting my sites is all... Maybe tell others, like give to local clinic, take links to POZ events, etc...

Robert says:

First off, let me say "Congradulations on fatherhood!". Don't focus on
the negative. My ex-wife didn't take the meds she was prescribed to
protect the baby while I was out on the road. The marriage ended up not
working out, and I have not had any contact from her in 4 1/2yrs. The
true morale to this story is that myself AND my 5y/o negative son are
doing great. There truly is no joy like fatherhood. I wish you all the
luck in the world, I hope you devote your entire being to cherishing every
moment you get to watch your child grow.
Now to my reason for trying to contact you. Everytime I try to send a
message to someone (even myself) thru the contact link, I get a message
that says that I should have tried a real email address. What does this
mean? My user id is "rsvl_jedi".
Take your time in replying as I know how fatherhood can take up a large
portion of your time. Thanks, Robert

Glad your son is well, I think we will be ok too. Still nervous, less than a month away now.

Dear DaveyBoy

If you need any help with things HIV related, I've like to offer my
services. I have a PhD in HIV and I'm an MD (newly qualified). I've been
arguing against the dissidents for the past 6 years and have written
extensively covering just about every topic from HIV isolation, through
antibody tests to drug use causing AIDS. Mostly on the misc.health.aids
newsgroup... Let me know if I can help.

Cheers

Bennett

Support and backing is the biggest thing I could ask for, and it seems I am already getting that from you. Thanks!

Kenn C****** says:

Hi again. I've just added several of your links to my site, each of which
you have ingeniously linked back to your central server. Wow, amazing!
(I'm not technically inclined so it's all I can do to maintain a free
"blogspot" site.

When I started Kenn, I didn't even know what Windows were and never knew there was no pane... Over time computers become natural, then you too will be able to start a network. Thanks for the nice comments on your blog. I have linked back in a few places.

Jon says:

I was kicked of the chatroom by tbby because she doesn't believe i'm poz.
Frankly, I'd like not believe either. Generally, I've found the room very
helpful, but frivolous and tbby make it difficult to participate. Any
suggestions?

Tbby was lying to me and saying people were doing nasty things (so I would kick them, then she would say how awful and invite them to her new group that no one was interested in) and that's why you got banned. Tbby has been removed and is not welcomed back, she did a lot of other nasty things to to many of our members. Frivolous was part of this scandal and has been removed too. Sometimes things get weird, it always happens to any famous places and people who try to do good.

Hi Dave,
I felt relieved when I saw this wonderful site of yours that can help
people like me meet others

It has also helped me, I have met thousands of POZ people and even met my fiance!

Hello,

I'm a reporter for the Montreal Gazette, and am working on an article about
the challenges of dating as an HIV-positive person and the services that
exist for it. I'd like to contact you for an interview, and hopefully to get in touvh with
people who have benefited from such services. You help would be muc haprreciated, and inform the Montreal community about  these resources.

Thank you,

I'd love to help! http://montreal.pozitiveliving.com will get you on a start :)

HI dave,
Just wnated to give a little something to help support the site and in
appreciation for how much I have learned there from everyone.
Thank you for having created and maintaining it for all of us
Comp

Thanks Comp, you helped me upgrade my work computer (one I edit pages and do digital imaging on). Thanks again even!

Hello Daveyboy,

I just wanted to let you know that I am supporting your website with $3.00/Month and I plan to donate it as long as I live because I know that $3.00/Month can never hurt me financially and will help you.

After I recieved my results yesterday ( HIV - ) , I was sooooo happy and I thanked God for giving me this second chance....I have really learned my lesson this time...and for me, I only see one way in never becoming infected...being faithful to my wife...as I know that she is also faithful to me...and is soo terrified to get hiv or other STD's.

I hope that this monthly donation will help you with your website(s) and as soon as I start my job, I would like to donate another $10/Month for the hiv/AIDS research...maybe you can then let me know who could use the money most.

I thank you for doing soooo much good for others ...you are an example of a perfect human being that God has created.

Keep up the good work!
And I wish you millions of other donations!

Best regards,
Max

Wow, not many HIV negative people will take the time to thank me, I think this is a first! Thanks so much, i am glad I could help in your time of fear.

thank you for your help
robey

Dave,

I don't know how this works. I mean in simple terms what to do to connect
with other Poz by people etc. What is the proceedure. And if I need to
donate anything and Haven't a credit card. So how do I do this.
P.S. I realy honor what you've created here. Thank you.
David

Don't worry about it, please just enjoy the sites and please tell other POZ about our support network!

Hello!

Just wanted to say without this site, i would've been lost for years. A
great thing has happenned to me on this site because in April, I married a
wonderful woman I met in a chatroom here. Thanks!

Congratulations! See, we are not alone!

I found your site a couple of years ago and wanted to help out in some way
then, but I live on scocial security about $500 per month.

No problem, the sponsor ads are starting to make ends meet now, thanks for thinking of me though, a compliment is worth twice as much as money!

He sounds like a pretty decent guy, actually. One who has faced some pretty rough struggles and is still of pretty good spirit and heart...

You might learn from him...

Thanks for standing up for me while AIDS dissidents were attacking me again :)

DaveyBoy has been, maybe still is,
desperately poor?  I suppose when you don't have much of an education
to flaunt, you can always feel superior to those not doing as well
as you financially. David C****

Thanks to my HIV+ chat members for all their support, here's a few examples above of the comments I get every couple days. I wish I could post every little chat comment here that was ever made in the chats to give recognition to everyone!

I want dignify the ignorants of the dussadant cult by responding to there accusation towards you and the infected groups but I will do it here. You my friend have dedicated your life to making our lives better to hell with what they say

Thanks for the support. Many years the AIDS dissidents attacked our sites, now I just expose their tactics (I guess I get a bit fanatic like them, but I have to be to get noticed over their floods of postings) to other groups that are being attacked in hopes that moderators can figure what domain names to set as traps in their forums.

Hi Dave!  I would like to say that what you do here is wonderful.

Thank you :)

Please could you guide me as to how I can join you so that we can work
together to combat AIDS out of my country by attending some of your
organised conferences on AIDS. As we are a group of people organised to
deal  with this deadly disease in Ghana. the name of this SOCIETY  is "THE
YOUNG FOR THE FUTURE AGAINST AIDS SOCIETY"(YOFAA).

Looking forward to eventually working together with every AIDS organization across the World. I can help promote.

You are doing such a great job for the pos community! I'd like to add the URL to the social group for gay men living with HIV/AIDS in the Chicago area.
www.PositiveForceChicago.com

Well thanks a bunch! Anyone is welcome to add a link to my HIV search engine or my HIV/AIDS Directories (most popular).

I join a chat hiv for the first time on Oct 5th and I was complementing
your monitor on a good job from keeping the stupid crazy people out from
crashing the rooms bec I admitted that I was a little hessitant from going
to an hiv chat for a long time and you know how some people that have no
idea about hiv get into rooms and hurt people's feelings.

I sure don't enjoy having rules (means more work for me) but if I didn't, the room would only be full of teenage boys wanting to poke fun at us positive folks, no remorse it seems.

I am so grateful to u for all the work u have done and continue
to do ...I live in the country and it is a blessing for me to chat with
others about what is going on ....I noticed u have a 315 area code I also
have a 315 area code ,,,Hmmmmm   u might br my neighbor ....My number is
315 *******....****** ny.......  If I knew more about computors I would
help oyt on the site ...Take care and hope to hear from u ....

Once you learn computers, contact me again, I am sure I could use some help then.

I found on Aug. 10 2002 that I was positive, smack in the middle of may holidays that i was taking with me new found love, but that is another story. Anyway Dave, for a month while he and I finished our holidays, I had no support or counseling. When I got back home I found not much to be had here either. I was totally alone and lost till I came across your site which put me in touch with others and also in touch with myself. Your site was an oasis in the middle of a vast unknown desert and has been a great place for me to find out info and even have a laugh or two.

Dave, this site is so crucial. Keep it going for the many others out there
like myself who need a friendly and informative place to help make some kind of sense on what is happening in and to their lives. If I can help you in anyway to get charitable org status, which from what I comprehend right now would be the best way to assist you, let me know.

I know you will keep it going somehow, but if having the charitable org
status will enable you to make better an already unbelievably great site, then let me help you achieve it.

Like I already told you Dave, I am not a wealthy man, but I am a fortunate one with a bit of extra money coming in and would be honored to be of help to you.

Please talk to whoever can advise you on this and let me know in a
relatively short time before I have a chance to spend my little windfall. I
really want to share my good fortune and help you help others
Love coming at ya,

                  Zetta
Wow, I do not know what to say. It is hard for me to see the impact on others, but you let me see the light... I will accept help as it is only making my members suffer by continuing to use poor/cheap services that are only online 30-70% of the time. I will get some free advice and respond to you soon! I really need to get a T1, but AT&T has a dedicated (direct line, not through phone) line much cheaper ($170/mnth) that is guaranteed! I wish hosting would do the trick, but here is WHY I MUST RUN MY OWN SERVERS.

UPDATE: Thanks for the help getting a new rack mount web server Zetta, plus I got a bunch of parts with the left over $$$!

Mass mailed by: Theresa S*#&^%$ (Traci) cacb_72@yahoo.com -  If I wanted drama I would watch a soap opera or a movie!!!  I started going into your room with some hope of finding people who were like me or in similar situations which I have done. I truly Liked your room until the moment that YOU decided to change things and started letting YOUR personal life get involved with it!!!
People have tried to help you, and all you do is SLAP them in the face. ASE offered you a car, a friend of mine offered to sell you his bronco but you wanted some one to bring it to you!!
I am sure you have heard the saying;  "God Helps HE Who helps HIMself!!! "
Do unto others as you would have done onto you!!!  any of them ring a bell??
In my religion, there is a saying, "Put out what you want back, because whatever you put out will come back 3 fold !! "    Which means,  what comes around goes around, but it will come back on you three times as bad!!!  As for you having my email, I could care less, I know how to use the delete button!!!
So I just want to let everyone know  that I will not return to Daveys site, because of all the drama and the LIES that have been told!!!!
If you care to talk to me or reach me  email me, or talk to me at  ASE"s site  www.pozitiveliving.org

You sure seemed to enjoy the first couple months before you decided to advertise Ase's new chat room in my chatroom, you told me you have read my rules before, it says no advertising other chatrooms. I had a automated trap (one hour ban) set up because Ase was being a thief and inviting my members away from my chat, seems you fell for the trap too after trying to thieve me (I see you were telling people to leave here and go there). So I am a bad person because I am unable to afford to pick up a vehicle on the other side of the US (why would I lie that I need a car)? Sorry about the "drama" after my girlfriend of 3 years left me for a neg guy (and friend of mine), I needed to bring it up in the chat rooms as I was about to be homeless (all sites would have gone down and I would have been sleeping in a back alley, why can't you understand this, you even tried to find ways for me to not wind up homeless, you must be heartless) plus I am human and needed support in a support chatroom (that's why I made it, so I could talk about things and so could others, you heard of support before?). I never slapped people in the face, but I do have rules to abide by (too bad you or Ase couldn't abide by them). Geeze Traci, any chance to advertise Ase's site, he paying you? OMG, so much drama in this letter, I am not even going to respond anymore (I don't have the time), these people are only trying to steal my members and trying to make me give up HOPE as I am competition for their new POZ chatroom! Sorry, but they will have to earn their members just like I did!

UPDATE SEPT 1st, 2004: Traci, I see you are back in our chat room now (couple weeks now). I guess I can forgive you for this, I realize it is easier for people to post hate when they are mad than it is to post nice things when they are happy. Welcome back Traci :)

I see this link with your banner on every page at http://poz.ca/?hiv=+ , did you make google too davey? It reminds me of your great work on Solutioncity.

HeHe, no I did not make Google.com, I just customized the layout.

I'm quite astounded by the vastness of your work, Davey! And I don't know how I hadn't noticed it before. I wondered if I knew you, found your bio, but you didn't look familiar, Davey. I guess I had 'retired' by the time you started to get active. I admire all the hours, toil and love you've put into it.....and I think I've only scratched the surface of all you've done...

And you've proved that we can accomplish a lot without ASOs (AIDS Service Orgs).

Take care
peace and light
Terry (WWW) in Nova Scotia

I couldn't have said it better myself, HEHE. Actually you really wowed me, made the hair stand up a bit on the back of my neck. I am glad to get such a tremendous response! I wish more ASOs (AIDS Service Organizations) would recognize that my tools are useful and needed. Thank You!

Hi Daveyboy, great site...
...Been on your site a few days now and find the people that I have made
contact with very real and intense. There is definitely a wanting for this
service and I applaud you for offering it to us.
Dave, I get the feeling that your site might not be here much longer. Why is
that? Is it financial? If it is, I wish I had the means or way to help. I
have found your site to be a great benefit in a time when I really need
something to love and trust. Keep up the good work bud. I hope things are
all ok with you.
Lots of love,
             Zetta

Yes, I had some financial trouble after having 4 root canals and about 20 cavities filled. Also I cannot afford a better internet connection for my web server and chat server, so I can not handle more than 5 -10 people online, when I did have a better connection, I would get 30+ people in the chat rooms. AIDS Day 2001 I had over 120 people in the main chat room and about 200 people on my web server at one time, some news broadcast had mentioned my HIV/AIDS Search Engine, at that time I was using Rogers Cable internet, I was shut down shortly after as the traffic was noticed (not allowed to run servers on Rogers, even if non profit like me).

Thanks a bunch, I met a really great guy near me through the personals. We are more friends than anything so I plan on leaving the ad for now. I wish you had a picture uploader though!

Picture uploader will be up once I can afford a faster and more reliable internet connection. The uploader seems to make my crappy residential ADSL internet line disconnect/freeze. I need to get a dedicated business line through AT&T but this costs $175/month and I can only afford $40/mnth. Maybe someone out ther can afford to help me out, see here the ways on this LINK.

UPdate Feb14,2004: We have a photo upload for chat members and the dating members!

Wanted to say thank you DaveyBoy for a great place to meet new friends. I am newly diagnosed HIV positive and it has been a huge relief to have found this site. I'm hoping to make many new friends. Thanks again for being here.

Aaron.

Glad my free services were useful to you. Please tell others about all my free sites!

Daveyboy.... I have posted a message
to my group in thanks for what you have done. I have reviewed your
sites and have to say, wow, there needs to be more guys like you out
there. You are providing an amazing service and you need to be proud
of yourself in doing so.

Hugs to you.
Mark.

Thanks a lot, people like you make it worth every second I put in effort!

i REALLY LOVE YOUR SITES, THEY HAVE HELPED ME VERY MUCH, NO ONE HERE KNOWS i AM hiv POSITIVE.
mARK IN nOVA sCOTIA, cANADA

Thanks :) Hope to see you again soon, bring some POZ friends!

Great site and Dave is a very supportive helpful guy. I hope to return and talk again.

KDJB

Thank you :) I hope you find your way back easily. Someday I can afford to advertise my POZ Network.

Living with this disease has not been the easiest thing in life, but I have done it for a lot of years and plan to live many more. I may spend it alone. But since I found this site I have made a good friend and I finally have a friend who understands. God bless all and God bless Daveyboy.

Maggie

I know what you mean, I have no local support groups here at all either. But I made my sites for people just like us. Everyone welcome!

I may be a long way away geographically, but this site is right here when I need it to help me understand and make the world just a bit better for my poz sweetie. Blessings, and I linked you to my creative writing site today; my AIDS folder is now available for viewing by the general public.

Heather A. Bricklin

I meet from all over, Africa, Ireland, Holland, Brazil, Australia, France, UK, Germany, China, Etc in my live chat rooms. The internet is a wonderful and anonymous place.

'Holy Crap'! I found all the information for my school project without leaving your web network! I hope the information is ok to be use for my homework? I love how the important stuff is already in point form and ready for me to make an essay!
Thanks :) Jerry in Sydney, Australia

I am glad you like the point form, some say I am too vague. I just try to get straight to the facts.

I am a member of many Boards in Iowa and came across your webpage and found it very usefull. Thank You for being there for all of us. Jeffrey

Thanks for coming and partaking. Just being in the chats makes you a part of my network. We are POZ Net.

Dave,
...Sir, my hat is off to you. If I can ever get this comp running properly I know I will enjoy your web site, look's like a good one. I'm just now trying to get myself out of this lonely state and meet some people like myself. Met up with a new group here in Atlanta last year but all they really seemed to want to do is sit around and drink, done too much of that already. I play the lotto as much as my wallet will allow me to and I tell you Buddy if I ever get a good pot you'll be getting some, promise. Again man I'm glad I stumbled upon your site and maybe we'll get to chat more one day. Till then take care my friend.
James

I will be waiting, glad to have made a new chat friend  ;)

Hi Dave!
I am sorry I didn't get back to you sooner to send my thanks but I had to leave town on very short notice. I can't thank you enough for e-mailing me and sharing your story with me. You have really opened my eyes to a new understanding of what the virus is all about. I think that it is awesome that you started this web site all on your own! You sound extremely skilled at what you do. Did you have a lot of schooling for it or did you just educate yourself? Either way- I think it's great! I wish you great success in all that you do and achieve.

Dan ****

I self taught myself everything about computers. I learned 3 programming languages. I learned to administer databases. I bought many books. I spent about 2 years learning computers, then the last 2 years making my sites. Therefore what you see here is actually 4 years of dedicated and hard work!

Thank you for your information , it is really helpful. Especially the
awareness about farm animals: the person in question lives on a farm! this
was information previously unheard of for us.

It helps me a lot too as I live with no local organizations willing to help me because I am a 5 minute walk away from their funding boundaries in Toronto.

[8:32pm] <hey> thats cool that you have 2000 pages of info for people

[8:35pm] <DaveyBoy>Oh shoot, I missed you, hope I get a chance to thank you some time (talking to myself).

Dave,
Wish you well with your website/chat room.  Just wanted to thank you for
being there when I especially needed to "talk" with someone two nights ago.
If I can ever return the favor, please know that I'm here at
##########@aol.com or call me at ###-###-####.

Thanks very much.

Glad I COULD BE THERE FOR YOU, MANY Chatters I AM UNABLE TO HELP. I CANNOT BE IN MY CHATS 24 HOURS A DAY, BUT I DO TRY TO STICK BY THEM WHILE I WORK ON MY SITES 10-12 HOURS A DAY, EVERY DAY... BUT CHATS ARE NOT SO BUSY SINCE I HAVE A POOR INTERNET SERVICE Provider (BUT ITS WHAT I CAN AFFORD, I apologize immensely for this, I really want a better internet connection for my chat, web, email and ftp server, I want to be reliable) causing sometimes 8 hours a day down time!

I think your work is incredible. You must be reaching so many people... ...Thank you for your hard work. Do you realize how important it is?

www.rubyslipperimages.net

I am starting to realize it lately. Responses have picked up a bit so I know how people are taking my services. I get so many good comments in my chat rooms, but I do not post those great comments here (it would be a huge page if I did!). Thanks a lot!

I thank you for helping are you Dave or what is your name I have surf your page
and you have to a great work mayby I stay in email contact to ask if I need is that okay. And if you visiting Iceland I have coffee and tea heheheh.

God bless you and keep on going in your good work
Alex - Iceland

Wow, it feels so good to reach out to other POZ so far away and still be of help. I even helped find links in Iceland to Organizations.

I would like to request removal of my personal ad. form your web site. As a HIV+ man I found that my world had become a small place to meet people. Just the idea of having to disclose my status to another person brought about great stress. When I found out about you site from one of the local ASO's ( AIDS Service Org.) I decide to try luck. At first I did not expect anything. But the correspondences started to come. Before I knew it I met a great man, the man who is now the love of my life. Thanks to your service HIV Poz guys like me and my partner have been lucky. Keep the good work up its a sure 10 for both of us
Thank You

Your Welcome. I had a couple even get married from services at www.hivdate.com, this makes me very happy. I wish you and your partner years of happiness together.

I wish you the best of luck with your search for funding for your website.

Best regards,
Tania

Thanks, seems that some of my services are hindering me. I will not shut them down as they have helped over 450,000 people. I had a local ASO tell me I was an "online pimp" for having www.hivdate.com online and it's always been a hard site to explain to any organization, same with the chats, they feel the chats ought to be shut down as I am not a counselor.

Dave,
Thanks for this posting this informative message. These are some good links, and excellent sites. I did visit them when you first joined this community. I also thank you for posting the links under the Links page of this site!

Hope we can work together to get the word out to people that things ARE being done for us all. Slow though they may be, at least there is some kind of hope for the future of this dreaded disease.

Thanks :)

Yes www.heteropoz.com is a heterosexual site. The rest of my sites (www.hivdate.com  , www.hivaidssearch.com , www.poz.ca , www.13km.comwww.hivforum.com, etc) I do not believe they  are "waving the heterosexual flag" as I have created these for everyone, even kids (not trying to offend anyone with my sites).

I hope there are a lot more people out there like you Dave. Keep your chin up and I thank you for all the good work you do for HIV.

Bill

davey, your page is great an i surfing the page a lot

Thank you Davey Boy  for adding the link to the HIV/AIDS Search Engine. I am sure visitors to the group will benefit from it.

So far so good, as long as you get here when my ISP (guaranteed ADSL almost high speed internet service provider ***************. in Ottawa) is actually working (works 80%+ of the time). In the future I may be able to afford a real corporate ISP, not a husband and wife run small business who take all service complaints personally (threaten to cut me off for being a nuisance).

Dear Mr. Brown,

We will be more than happy to post a link to your site from our resources page. As a federally-funded basic science research, most of our HIV/AIDS research news is of interest primarily to clinicians, researchers and behavioral scientists. But we are strongly committed to a public presence of our cutting-edge science, knowing that bench side research will eventually make its way to the HIV/AIDS care populations.

Wonderful to meet you Dave. I happen to have checked your chat room this morning (October 22, 2001) and I found it to be a good "safe" place for support and information. Keep up the good work. (Original Message Here)

ACT Toronto (www.actoronto.org) (AIDS Committee of Toronto) staff member (Nicky the Librarian) says:  "We have cataloged your Search site. It looks very good, it has come a long way!"

 No Comment here, but thanks.

I think that what you are doing is great.  I wonder if you know Sherri of Positive Connections here in Miami.  She is someone I respect tremendously.  We have worked together for many years...

...I think what you are doing is great and I will help in anyway I can.  Please email me any questions I can answer which can help in referrals for those in the US.  And if you ever have those coming to S Florida that need help, let me know.

Warm regards

  Thanks for the support.

Hi there,

Congratulations on the new network of web sites! We are thinking of
doing a brief roundup of new web sites in the next issue of POZ (Magazine). ...
...take care,

Suzy
Editorial Assistant
POZ Magazine

Wow, POZ Magazine! I am excited! I hear you guys listed my HIVdate.com, I really wish HIV+ Canadians could get a free copy as I can not even afford to get a copy. Hope you listed my www.hivaidssearch.com as I think it's my best work yet!

This a personal note from Homorama Editor. I am HIV + and looked at your site with real interest.

It is pretty hard to find services for ones own area...

...-Homorama Editor

By next year we hope to have full city searches for North America. Some areas do not have services, like where I live, 5 minutes from Toronto, there is nothing here for me in Markham.

Hi
There's no good place to put my URL - Its for the biggest library in
Canada about HIV/AIDS that's open to the public (ACT Library) and we
catalogue web resources as one option on our catalogue database. How about
a category for Libraries/Resource Centres under, perhaps, General
Reference. There are at least five of us in this category in Canada who
have online presences or hope to soon.

Thanks
Nicky

ACT Librarian

Added new Categories. Thanks for input. I love to have suggestions. Send Input to HIV.AIDS.POZ@GMail.com

Hi there...I had a quick look at your site.  It seems like it could be a
great resource once the database gets populated.  My one suggestion
might be to expand the size of the index table so that the cells are a
little larger and people don't accidentally click on the wrong box.

Menu was redesigned for easier use and we added more sites, over 2,500 now (if a search or category results come up empty, I have now included a external web search engine built in to my HIV/AIDS search engine to guarantee External Matches). Please add your favorite sites if we don't already have them or join our group.

Why would you think we would be interested in your project? Did you even read a thing at our web site? Please read the following essay.

HEAL Toronto

website: www.healtoronto.com

Sorry for the inconvenience, I am trying to network all aspects of HIV/AIDS and you offered a different theory known as dissident (I will never attempt to work together even though our beliefs are different).  I will not bother you again.  I have removed HEAL from my search engine, but I have decided to leave your posting @ www.HIVforum.com since Kelly Jon Landis posted it (not us).  I have decided to not allow dissident sites in the HIV/AIDS search engine anymore, this was the last dissident straw after hundreds of attacks to my forums, guest books and dating personals. The External Links search may find them, but I only spider the internet for those links and I can not delete them.

I wanted to let you know that I have recently joined CATIE ...

...Thank you again for bringing this informative site to my attention. I
will follow up again in the coming months regarding our decision (regarding linking).
Best regards,

Tracy
Manager, Internet Services
Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (CATIE)

Hopefully are HIV/AIDS Search Engine (AHSE) will be large enough by then to qualify.  Please add sites to our database or join our group. (update June 2002: We are big enough now, there is no HIV/AIDS portal that is bigger than www.hivaidsseach.com which links to virtually every HIV/AIDS site known and translated to 25 languages, even the sites visited are translated)

Thanks for your website I am pos and I am looking to
meet new friends since it's pretty hard.
I'm looking forward to the best. Thanks I
appreciate what you are doing. Bye for now.

  Thank you. Glad I helped.

ACT Toronto (AIDS Committee of Toronto) Librarian/Resources (Nicky the Libraian) says: "If you get funding it will take away from money for those who need it.  All your sites have been done, give up the HIV/AIDS Network. The AIDS Search Engine, you might as well stop it as it is not needed."
