The Canadian HIV/AIDS Network

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This business plan has been prepared to obtain financing in the amount of $5,000 to complete the registration and copywriting of The Canadian HIV/AIDS Network. We also require some of these monies  for main startup costs for our home office.

The HIV/AIDS Network is a group of over 10 online websites that cover support and connecting people (all sexual preferences and even kids) to the resources they require.

The organization will be self-sustaining by the end of the second year.   We have already began working on an online shopping mall to sell goods related to health and well being.  Profit will be used for building the network.  We already have funding waiting at the Trillium Foundation as Mike Harris directed a letter to them on our behalf, only problem is that we must already be registered to receive funding.  Once registered we will hire fund/grant writers.  Once on a roll, we plan to open a head office downtown Toronto or Ottawa  with separate offices for each division and a recreational room for PWA (People with AIDS).

An extensive market survey has revealed that no other organization in the world presently on the internet compares with The Canadian HIV/AIDS Network in terms of features, chat, support, meeting services, forums, etc. Others may have one or two of these services for a certain sexual preference, but our network covers everyone and every know service.

Full production can begin within 3 months after funding has been received.

With this initial $5,000 asked for, we plan to incorporate (with full help of a lawyer while getting advice) not for profit and copyright our logos (5) and trademark our Names (6). We also plan to get phone lines (local and 800) and fax lines (and fax machine) installed in our home office. We must also have a commercial internet account for our WWW/IRC/mail/FTP/ASP/CGI servers (main server needs a larger/faster hard drive). We also need to advertise and promote through newspapers and sending newsletters to organizations and clinics across Canada. Limited software is needed, but we do need Windows 2000 Server.
