• get rid of fleas and mosquitoes as some infections may be transmitted by them causing more complications for HIV-positive - yellow fever and malaria are transmitted through the saliva of specific species of mosquitoes.
• HIV and AIDS are not spread by mosquitoes or insect bites.
• infected bites can pose as a risk for transmission as an open sore may be present.
• when an insect bites a person, it does not inject its own or a previous victim's blood into the new victim, it uses its own saliva which is not known to transmit HIV.
